During the operation of mechanical equipment, noise is inevitable. However, it is required to solve the problem in time after the noise is generated, otherwise it will directly affect the operation of the equipment, and in serious cases, it will lead to production failure. For example, in case of high temperature rise and abnormal noise during the operation of worm gear reducer, the operation and use of the equipment shall be stopped, and the operation can be continued only after the cause is checked and the fault is eliminated
The possible causes of noise at the bearing part of the reducer are:
1. Friction of bearing cover or sealing part
Due to incorrect installation, tilt of bearing cover or wear of bearing sealing part and connecting part after a long time of use, high temperature or noise may occur.
2. Insufficient lubricating oil
When the oil level drops due to insufficient lubricant filling or gear unit oil leakage
3. Bearing damaged or worn
The cage of the reducer bearing is damaged, the ring is worn or deformed, the rolling element is worn or the rolling element falls out
If abnormal noise occurs during the operation of the reducer, the problem must be eliminated in time:
1. The cage structure and material shall be considered during bearing selection
The reducer bearing cage structure can adopt the solid cage with the inner and outer ring edge guiding and centering. The material can be aluminum alloy, copper alloy or phenolic adhesive tape, which is assembled according to the matching of the original factory, and it is strictly prohibited to exchange.
2. Check the oil level and add lubricating oil
The bearing with serious wear must be replaced. The roughness of the contact part between the bearing cover and the bearing shall meet the drawing requirements.
