The selection of bearing grease must consider the environment, temperature, load and other factors in the actual working process of the bearing.

Working environment of bearing
The minimum and maximum temperature that the bearing needs to face in the working process, the humidity of the environment, and whether the environment is corrosive. For example, lithium base low temperature lubricating grease is required for bearing in severe cold environment; Calcium base grease shall be used for bearings in places with high moisture and humidity; Sodium grease is suitable for dry and low moisture workplaces.

Operating temperature of bearing
When the ambient temperature of the bearing is high, it is necessary to select high-temperature grease with high drop point. And the actual maximum temperature must be 10~20 ℃ lower than the grease drop point, and 20~30 ℃ lower for synthetic grease.

Bearing load
Grease with small cone penetration shall be selected for bearings under heavy load working environment. If it is necessary to work under high pressure at the same time, the selected grease must have high oil film strength and extrusion performance in addition to small cone penetration.
