SKL thrust bearing type and use

Time:2023-01-16 15:29:37click:610
Thrust bearing is one of the commonly used rolling bearing types. It is mainly used to support the axial load. Thrust bearings help the equipment reduce friction and cope with pressure, so that its various components can rotate or move linearly. Reduce the large amount of friction and stress generated by the mutual contact of metal materials, and effectively prevent the premature wear and degradation of metal materials. Make the parts of mechanical equipment work normally and extend their durability and service life.
Type and application of thrust bearing
Thrust ball bearing
The steel ball supported in the collar is usually made of bearing steel, and most of the applications are in low thrust working environment with small load bearing force.
Cylindrical thrust bearing
The rolling body is composed of cylindrical rollers arranged horizontally, and the roller shaft points to the bearing shaft. It can provide large load carrying capacity. However, its radial speed is usually lower than that of thrust ball bearing, and the line contact makes it wear faster.
Thrust tapered roller bearing
The rolling body is composed of conical rollers, which is very common in wheel hubs supporting specific vehicles in the automotive industry. When used in pairs, it can adapt to axial thrust in all directions, and can bear larger thrust load. But the production cost is quite high.
Spherical roller bearing
The rolling body adopts spherical asymmetric roller. It can be applied to working conditions with radial and axial loads and shaft misalignment at the same time. Of all thrust bearing types, spherical roller bearings can provide the highest rated load density.
