Repair of ball mill reducer bearing in cement industry

Ball mills are commonly used equipment in concentrators. In addition, they are also used in power, chemical, construction, cement and other processing industries.
The internal structure of the ball mill is relatively complex, and there are many components. The main components include the cylinder, lining plate, bin separation plate, main bearing, feeding and discharging device and transmission system. Among them, the drive parts of the ball mill include the triangle belt, motor, reducer and pulley. The abrasive process of the ball mill is carried out in the barrel of the ball mill. The motor drives the barrel and gear ring to rotate through the coupling, reducer and pinion. Generally, there are two types of ball mills: two-bin or multi-bin ball mill and lattice/overflow ball mill
The ball mill bearings are mainly the parts supporting the rotation of the ball mill. There are two kinds of bearings commonly used: sliding bearings and rolling bearings. No matter which type of bearing is very important for its lubrication requirements, thin oil centralized circulating lubrication is generally used. Some small machines also use oil ring lubrication, oil ring drip lubrication or wool lubrication.
Under the high torque startup of heavy load, low speed, heavy load and high speed, as well as under the action of equipment vibration and radial impact, metal fatigue occurs in the bearing seat or bearing position, resulting in permanent deformation. The bearing inner race and shaft or the bearing outer race and the bearing seat have a clearance fit, resulting in relative movement and wear.
If the bearing seat of the ball mill reducer is worn, the traditional repair process is difficult to solve effectively. The repair welding is restricted by the site environmental conditions and there will be thermal stress, and the brush plating is limited by the amount of wear.

Fault cause:
1) The exhaust hole of the reducer is blocked;
2) The balance wheel and intermediate wheel of the reducer are not installed according to the specified meshing teeth.
resolvent:
1) Conduct temperature detection on the reducer bearing and dredge the exhaust hole;
2) The balance wheel and intermediate wheel are installed according to the specified meshing teeth.
Main bearing temperature is too high, hot, smoking or melting
Fault cause:
1) Oil supply is interrupted or insufficient;
2) Poor oil quality or sand and sundries entering the bearing;
3) The main bearing is installed unevenly;
4) The cylinder transmission shaft is bent;
5) The oil groove is too deep and the pad and shaft contact make the oil cannot enter the pad;
6) The oil supply device fails, and the oil supply is interrupted or insufficient;
7) The bearing clearance does not meet the requirements and the contact with the shaft is poor;
8) The viscosity of lubricating oil is unqualified;
9) The coupling is not installed correctly;
10) The main bearing cooling water is insufficient or the cooling water temperature is high.
resolvent:
1) Heat dissipation and cooling, then stop grinding, check and adjust, and increase the oil volume;
2) Clean and replace with new oil;
3) Adjust and level;
4) Adjust and align;
5) Inspection, repair and adjustment;
6) Maintain the oil supply device;
7) Adjust the clearance, scrape the bearing bush or repair the journal;
8) Replace lubricating oil with appropriate viscosity;
9) Adjust and align;
10) Increase water supply or reduce water supply temperature.
