The bearings in industrial fans operate under high speed and relatively light radial load. These bearings may also operate under extreme high or low temperature conditions, or in places where maintenance is not easy. Fan airflow is often used for conveying materials. Over time, materials will stick to the impeller, causing imbalance, and even reducing the normal operation time and service life of the fan.

Typical customers in the industry
Halifax (UK) is a typical customer of SKL bearings in the fan industry. When Halifax designed the fan for a multinational chemical company, the customer needed a large fan to meet the extreme operating environment of the Malaysian plant. The fan used for the titanium oxide production line needed a 1.8-meter diameter impeller to operate at 75 ℃, and the impeller needed to be able to cope with the corrosive gas saturated with sulfur, concentrated acid and hydrogen ions. Such an operating environment requires the use of corrosion-resistant alloys. The proper bearing is also one of the important factors for the fan to adapt to the extreme conditions. Halifax selected the mixed ceramic bearing at the suggestion of SKL engineers, which ensures the normal use of the fan under such extreme conditions, reduces the number of downtime, and brings economic benefits to customers.
